Course Overview
This course was created in partnership between the 3D Institute. The completion of this course, prior to assuming duties as an athletic director or coach, fully satisfies the OSAA’s Interscholastic Coaching Course one-time requirement.
- Gain a high-level understanding of the 3D Coaching Framework
- Learn about SHAPE America’s National Standards for Sports Coaches as processed through the 3D framework
- Complete this course as part of OSAA’s requirement to coach in the state of OR
Comprehensive approach to coaching that acknowledges the strain that the nature of sports and competition has on young athletes. Definitely a bit more theoretical than practical, but I felt the kernels of wisdom were helpful and authentic.
Great content
Great course. It is important to look at the whole athlete and this did a great job emphasizing that. It felt a little long but likely because of all the trainings we did before this one too.
Having case studies and data to back was the most interesting and engaging bit for me. I felt this course gave value for coaching mentality.

I really agree with the ideas espoused by Simon Sinek, and I can see these ideas here in this course. This has helped me pay attention to another depth of coaching that I would not have known otherwise.
