Course Overview
This course was created in partnership between the 3D Institute. The completion of this course, prior to assuming duties as an athletic director or coach, fully satisfies the OSAA’s Interscholastic Coaching Course one-time requirement.
- Gain a high-level understanding of the 3D Coaching Framework
- Learn about SHAPE America’s National Standards for Sports Coaches as processed through the 3D framework
- Complete this course as part of OSAA’s requirement to coach in the state of OR

Being involved in athletics growing up and throughout college, I wish some of my coaches had gone through this training. It really highlighted the key competencies that go into making a good coach successful and well-respected. I am happy that I was able to take this course before starting to coach high schoolers myself.
