Course Overview
This course was created in partnership with the Virginia High School League to satisfy the coaching principles portion of VHSL’s coaches education mandate.
- Gain a high-level understanding of the 3D Coaching Framework
- Learn about SHAPE America’s National Standards for Sports Coaches as processed through the 3D framework
- Complete this course as part of VHSL’s requirement to coach in the state of VA
This course definitely makes you stop and think of better ways to prepare your student athletes. It also give a lot of great ways to break things down into categories to where you can obtain your overall goal.

The course was great in that it touched on working with the athlete vs. working with the club/sport. At times it was just a little too generic trying to reach all sports.
