Course Overview
This course was created in partnership between the 3D Institute. The completion of this course, prior to assuming duties as an athletic director or coach, fully satisfies the OSAA’s Interscholastic Coaching Course one-time requirement.
- Gain a high-level understanding of the 3D Coaching Framework
- Learn about SHAPE America’s National Standards for Sports Coaches as processed through the 3D framework
- Complete this course as part of OSAA’s requirement to coach in the state of OR

Course talks about all aspects of being a coach. Goes well into the perspective that isn't appreciated the most which involves mental and emotional support.
This is the best training I have ever taken. Like most people, we sometimes fast forward through trainings due to time constraints. I wholeheartedly listened to every word and took notes every step of the way. I plan to go through it again for new gems and reminders.
As a first time coach, this brief course helped me think of the various ways that I will be able to impact my athletes. The additional resources that are available are extremely helpful!

It is a great course.
This course had great material! The only suggestion I have is to decrease the amount of videos. I felt less engaged towards the end of the course due to length of the training and I felt like some of the information could have been condensed down.
